No Canada Day Marathon for 2015, May Return in 2016

The Toronto Inline Skating Club is excited that many of its members have committed to volunteer at the Pan American Games. The Pan American Games’ Roller Speed Skating races will be July 12-13 in Toronto.

Because of this important commitment by TISC members, especially on the part of key volunteers who are normally very involved with running and putting together the Canada Day Marathon, the Toronto Inline Skating Club has decided to not organize the Canada Day Marathon for 2015.

TISC will look into different ways to increase participation, revenues, and volunteer contributions for the 2016 Canada Day Marathon.

RSO Series this Saturday August 9th @ Ken Cox (Humber) 400m Track, Come out and Race!!

TISC is pleased to host the next RSO Series this Saturday August 9th at the Ken Cox 400m track.

TISC Ready for Nationals and Canada Day Marathon

The Toronto Inline Skating Club is ready to welcome Canadian skaters to race at the Canadian Championships on June 28-29 n Toronto and the Canada Day Marathon on July 1st in Cambridge.

On the women’s side, the trio of Olympic short track medalist Valerie Maltais, Pan Am Games racer Morgane Echardour, and Shannon Hegarty are expected to give spectators exciting races to cheer for!

On the men’s side, Nicolas Laborde (Colombia) and Chris Fiola should provide a lot of dust for their competition to chase!

The Speed Committee will also hold its Annual Meeting tomorrow night.

TISC Hosting Canada Day Marathon on July 1st, Registration Is Now Open

The Toronto Inline Skating Club is hosting the 2014 Canada Day Marathon planned for July 1st.

Good Luck to All TISC Skaters at This Weekend’s Montreal 24 Hours

A few dozen TISC members and supporters will be traveling to this weekend’s Montreal 24 Hours. TISC will field two teams and will also have a member with Il Peloton’s team.

The annual event, a 24 hour inline skating event held at the 4.2km Formula 1 track on Montreal’s Ile Ste-Hélène, features teams of up to 10 skaters skating in a relay, with one of the team’s skaters on the track at a time.

RSO Series This Sunday

The RSO Series Stage #2 is this Sunday June 23rd. All levels of ability and elite race experiences offered by TISC, who is hosting the series.

CP24 Spots for Skate the Shore on Friday Morning, Come on Out!

Skate the Shore is set for a great event on Saturday morning.

On Friday morning, the event will have 4 spots with CP24 7:10, 7:40, 8:10 and 8:40. If skaters could arrive about 30 minutes early.

It would be great to have some skaters out for the publicity. Meeting place for Friday morning is same as Saturday morning- Amos Waites Park, Mimico Square (2445 Lake Shore Boulevard West)
