Toronto Skaters At 2009 Great EsSkate In Miami

About a dozen Toronto-area skaters went to Miami to take part in the 2009 Great EsSkate. You can view some of Candy Wong’s pictures here. You cna also view KiteBoy’s pictures. Candy Wong shared some of her thoughts about the weekend festivities-

One of my favourite part of coming to The Great EsSkate is the social aspect. Without the pressure of a race, everyone just lets loose and has a good time. Don’t believe me? Check out these pictures!

Please Note- All components of Membership Application must be completed PRIOR to skating with TISC.

WHAT TO EXPECT

TISC programs focus on the development of speed, fitness, and skills with a focus on the following

- skating technique and agility
- safety
- how to skate in a group with other skaters
- achieving health through active participation
- intervals, speed work, sprints, long distance skating
- mock races and relays
- tactics and strategy

Practices will begin with warm-up, on-skate technique to develop efficiency, drills and activities to help with agility, reach high speed, greater endurance, and tactics
